GETTING THERE

What is the best way to get to the venue?

Sports Authority Field at Mile High is located directly adjacent to I-25 and only about 1 mile from downtown Denver.
I-25 from north or south to exit 210A. Head west on Colfax Ave, then north on Federal Blvd and follow signs to park. Click here for more information.

Public Transit Information

The Sports Authority Field at Mile High Station and Decatur-Federal Station provide direct access from light rail to the stadium. Regular one-way Light Rail Fares apply. Fans should purchase a round-trip ticket at your initial boarding station to avoid delays after the game.

Sports Authority Field at Mile High Station:
The C, E, or W light rail lines stop at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High Station, an 8 minute walk to the stadium. Fans may also take the D or H lines and transfer to the C or E lines at I-25 & Broadway, Alameda, or 10th & Osage stations.

Decatur-Federal Station:
The Decatur Federal station provides service to the stadium from the West Corridor Line. The Decatur-Federal Station is also an 8 minute walk to the stadium.
Additionally, there is bus service from downtown or the West on the Colfax Ave line or from the North or South on the Federal route.

Taxi/Uber/Lyft Information

A taxi stand is located outside the stadium on Bryant Street along the pedestrian walkway outside the Gate 5 area on the northeast corner of the building.

Driving Directions

Sports Authority Field at Mile High is located in downtown Denver at the intersection of I-25 and Colfax Avenue. To access Sports Authority Field at Mile High:

  • From I-25 northbound, exit at 17th Avenue.
  • From I-25 southbound, exit at Colfax Avenue, then exit at Federal Blvd north bound. Turn right at the first light (Dick Connor Ave).
  • From Denver International Airport, take I-70 west to I-25 southbound. Exit at Colfax Avenue, then exit at Federal Blvd north bound. Turn right at the first light (Dick Connor Ave).

Parking Information

Main lots are on the west side of the venue and southwest of the venue. Off-site lots include Pepsi Center and Auraria Campus lots to the east. Click here to view the parking map.

Drop Off/Pick Up Information

Drop-offs at Sports Authority Field at Mile High should occur on the west side of the stadium on 18th or 19th Ave in between Federal and Mile High Stadium Circle.

Biking Information

Easily accessible from the South Platte Trail of the Denver bike trail system, the stadium has over 300 permanently installed bike racks on-site. All fans should ensure familiarity with the Stadium Bag Policy.

The Bike Valet is located adjacent to parking lot J and outside of Gate 4. There will be no charge to utilize the Bike Valet. Any donations will go to Denver Bike Sharing, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that owns and operates the Denver B-cycle program.

The box office is on the south end of the stadium near Gate 9.

May I pick up my tickets before the day of the show?

Yes, if you purchased your tickets from Ticketmaster or Ticketstoday and you selected the Will Call option, they can be picked up prior to day of show.

May I bring my kids? Do they need to have their own tickets?

This is an all ages event, but all guests need tickets.

PERMITTED/PROHIBITED ITEMS

What am I allowed to bring into the venue?

The following items are permitted into the stadium:

  • Clear plastic or vinyl bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” - Officially licensed NFL team logo clear plastic tote bag measuring 12 x 6 x 12
  • Small clutch bag approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle strap
  • 1 gallon clear plastic freezer bag
  • Factory-sealed, soft-sided plastic bottles containing non-alcoholic beverages
  • Empty plastic water bottles
  • Small, compact umbrellas may be allowed.

What is prohibited from coming into the venue?

The following items are not permitted into the stadium:

  • Hard-sided containers of any size or style including hard-sided coolers or thermoses.
  • Bags or containers larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
  • Alcohol
  • Glass bottles or cans
  • Previously opened plastic bottles must be emptied.
  • Firearms or weapons of any type
  • Artificial noise makers
  • Signs or flags on sticks, regardless of the length
  • Large golf umbrellas
  • Laser pointers of any type
  • Professional cameras with extended lenses, video and audio recording devices
  • Computers or tablets
  • Any other item deemed dangerous or unacceptable by security

ENTRY TO THE VENUE

What gates will be open?

All gates will be open.

How many gates are there, what are they called, and where are they located?

10 gates numbered Gates 1-10 plus North Tunnel Entrance.

Is there a separate entrance for GA tickets?

Yes. GA Ticket holders should enter through the North Tunnel Entrance.

Are there special entry gates or other services for disabled guests?

In addition to seating, all entrances, offices, museum and the Broncos Team Store at Sports Authority Field at Mile High are accessible for patrons with disabilities.
Patrons with disabilities and their guests are allowed access to escalators or elevators located within the United Club Level and Suite lobbies at stadium gates 2 and 7. The media level and media workrooms are also accessible to guests with disabilities who have appropriate media credentials. All ADA wheelchair spaces in Sports Authority Field at Mile High are accessible by elevator, escalator or ramps.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Will there be food and beverages?

Yes

Will beer and/or other alcohol be sold? Is there a cut-off time?

Yes – cut off time will be no later than 1/2 hour prior to scheduled end of event.

Is tailgating allowed?

Yes

MERCHANDISE

Will official Metallica and show merchandise be sold at the event?

Yes – there are merchandise stands on the East and West sides of the venue plus an additional merchandise area available on the North end of the field and in the North entry area.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Gate Security Screening:
Guests and their belongings may be searched upon entry into the stadium. By tendering a ticket and entering the stadium, guests consent to such searches and waive any related claims they might have against the NFL, its member clubs, their affiliates and stadium landlord or their agents. Persons electing not to consent to the searches will be denied entry into the stadium. Please plan on arriving at gates no later than 45 minutes prior to the event start time to ensure you are in your seat on time. During Broncos games and other designated events, express lanes may be designated at each gate for patrons without any bags or containers. Small purses are permitted through express lanes.
