Public Transit Information

MetroLink is a convenient alternative to driving. To avoid the traffic congestion and the cost of parking, fans can use one of 21 free Park-Ride lots along the MetroLink line and take the train to Stadium Station, right across the street from the ballpark. Check the Metro's website (http://www.metrostlouis.org/) or download the Metro On The Go mobile app for schedules and Park-Ride lots nearest you.

There are also plenty of buses in Missouri and Illinois that will get fans to Busch. MetroBus is great option for getting to downtown St. Louis. Fans can catch the #40 Broadway or #99 Downtown Trolley, which both have stops near Busch Stadium.

Parking Information

Several independently operated parking options are available within walking distance of Busch Stadium. Prices vary. If you are entering the ballpark through Gate 2, 3, or 4, the best place to park is on or near 8th Street. If entering through Gates 1, 5 or 6, the best place is on or near Broadway.

Guests are encouraged to arrive to Busch Stadium no more than 4 hours before show time.

What time are doors?

Busch Stadium gates will open 2 hours before published show time.

Where is the box office located to pick up will call tickets?

All paid and complimentary tickets can be picked up at the 8th Street ticket windows. A valid ID that matches the Will Call name is required to receive tickets.

During the season the 8th Street ticket windows are open Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and are also open for all home games and large-scale event days from 9:00am until two hours after game/show time.

What are the box office hours?

Mon-Fri: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sat-Sun: Closed

Day of Show: The Box Office will open at 9:00 am and close approximately 2 hours after scheduled show time.

May I pick up my tickets before the day of the show?

Yes, if you selected the Will Call option at the time of purchase, they can be picked up prior to day of show.

May I bring my kids? Do they need to have their own tickets?

Children, age 3 and under, do not require a ticket for entry into the ballpark if accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Is the NFL Clear Bag Policy in effect?

While clear plastic carry bags are recommended, they are not required. Click here for a full list of permitted and prohibited items.

What am I allowed to bring into the venue?

Permitted Items:

  • Bags - 16" x 16" x 8" or smaller - clear plastic carry bags are recommended

  • Cameras and video cameras that are not commercial in nature

  • Fanny packs
  • Food items
  • Purses - small, clutch style are encouraged
  • Seat cushions
  • Soft sided coolers with no liners
  • Strollers that fold to fit under seats
  • Umbrellas may be used during inclement weather
  • Water/soda in clear plastic, factory sealed bottles, 2 liters or less

*Exceptions may be made to the above list and are at the discretion of Busch Stadium Management and Event Staff Personnel.

What is prohibited from coming into the venue?

Prohibited items include but are not limited to the following items:

  • Aerosol cans
  • Alcoholic beverages and nonalcoholic beer
  • Aluminum containers, glass bottles/items, metal cans, thermoses, and all outside cups and mugs
  • Animals (with the exception of trained service animals for guests with disabilities)
  • Backpacks
  • Bags larger than 16" x 16" x 8". Exceptions for diaper bags and other bags used for medical reasons may be granted
  • Balloons, beach balls and other inflatables
  • Brooms
  • Chairs, stools, including bleacher seats with backs
  • Commercial camera equipment, including video cameras, tripods and monopods
  • Drones
  • Face paint, masks, and any other costume that covers the head/face
  • Firearms/unopened knives larger than 4 inches/weapons of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Flag poles, PVC pipe and other poles
  • Flasks
  • Hard sided and Styrofoam coolers/hard plastic inserts for soft sided coolers
  • Hover boards/skate boards/roller skates, roller blades

Cameras

Both still and video cameras for personal use are allowed in Busch Stadium provided that they do not interfere with the concert or obstruct another guest's view. Tripods and monopods are prohibited to non-credentialed guests. Recording of any field activity is strictly prohibited. The team name, logos and player likenesses are copyrighted material, none of which may be published without prior written consent of the Cardinals, MLB and other applicable third party rights holders. Persons deemed to be violating these rules may be escorted from the ballpark. The Cardinals reserve the right to ask guests to put cameras and video equipment away.

What gates will be open?

All Stadium gates (1-6) will be open for guest entry. Click here to view a map of the stadium.

How many gates are there, what are they called, and where are they located?

Busch Stadium has 6 entry gates, located on the East, West and North sides of the Stadium.

  • Gate 2, Gate 3 – 8th Street
    Gate 4, Gate 5 – Clark Street
    Gate 1, Gate 6 – Broadway

Is there a separate entrance for GA tickets?

No, there is no separate entrance for GA tickets.  GA ticket holders may enter the stadium at any gate. 

Are there special entry gates or other services for disabled guests?

All gates are accessible for disabled guests.

Busch Stadium offers three accessible drop-off locations:

  • Southwest corner of the ballpark at Parking Lot A & Poplar (off 8th Street)
  • Northwest corner of the ballpark at 8th & Clark
  • East side of the ballpark on Broadway

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Will there be food and beverages for sale at the venue?

Yes, concessions will be available.

Will beer and/or other alcohol be sold? Is there a cutoff time?

Yes, beer and alcohol will be sold.  Service cut-off time will be determined based on projected show length.

Is tailgating allowed?

Tailgating is prohibited in the parking lots surrounding Busch Stadium. A great pre-concert atmosphere can be found at Ballpark Village and the surrounding downtown bars and restaurants.

Where will official Metallica and show merchandise be sold at the event?

Official concert merchandise will be sold in several locations inside of Busch Stadium.
